ChrisMerzTime Is Here!, WJO's first concert of spring 2022 (on February 28) featured saxophonist/composer/arranger Chris Merz.
Chris is the longtime Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Iowa, where one of his successful students was WJO Director Noah Alvarado.
Chris is an accomplished composer and arranger, as well as a sought-after guest soloist, clinican and conducter.
The program featured eight of Chris's arrangements, along with originals by band members Rob Page and Dave Wild, and a combo tune
